A year inside a company

In 2025 I joined BAAP Company as a UI/UX designer — my first time working inside a company rather than running my own client relationships. The role covered interface and experience design across client projects, from the first requirement discussion through to final delivery.

I kept sitting in on the parts of the work that had nothing to do with pixels: client requirement conversations, proposals, design reviews. Translating what a stakeholder described into something buildable was still the part I was best at, and the part I paid the most attention to.

A year in, it was clear which side of the work pulled at me more — not the interface itself, but everything upstream of it: understanding the business, scoping what it actually needed, and making sure the thing that got built would get used.
